How can we make this worse?

Get a serial killer on your team?

How can a horror movie baddie help you be more creative?

This week I was lucky enough to be invited in to a great company who were running an AgileFest day to celebrate the successes so far and focus on how to take their culture change journey forward to new heights.

The CEO, senior leadership team and people from all grades, roles and departments were there and it was an inspiring day even for an outsider like me.

I was there to run some masterclasses on important skills we need in our organisations to thrive in complexity and build more autonomy and resilience within the organisation.

One of those skills is innovation and creativity.

I believe creativity is not one of those things that you’re either born with or you’re not. It can take some awakening and nurturing but we can all grow this important skill.

And that’s what we did in a fast-paced, action-packed 75 minutes.

It was a blast!

I shared a number of “thinking rituals” to help stimulate more creative thoughts.

Including

What would Hannibal Lecter or Jason Voorhees or a circus clown do in this situation?

For more on this concept, check out my video on the Psychopath Effect.

I run lots of short, sharp, skills-based workshops both publicly and in-house. These workshops are not tied to any particular role but will help you and your people develop skills like:

  • Uncovering & Validating Value

  • Experimentation

  • Resilience

  • Creativity

  • Coaching for Change

  • Coaching for Performance

  • Facilitation

  • Decisiveness

  • Assertiveness

  • Story-Telling

  • Presentation Skills

  • Conflict Navigation

  • Contextual Leadership

  • Psychological Safety

  • Delegation

  • Influence and Persuasion

  • Stakeholder Management

If you’d like to talk about how we could organise one or more of these for your people then get in touch.

Have a great week and don’t have any nightmares.
