Because leading doesn’t need to feel so lonely

The first Calm REBEL Circle is now open - EIGHT SPOTS ONLY.
Add your name here before the group fills up.
Hey there,
While writing Calm REBEL Leadership, I had an idea in the back of my mind — small groups of leaders coming together to talk honestly about what it means to lead without losing yourself. The idea sat quietly for a while, but lately it’s started to take shape.
For the last couple of years, I’ve heard so many variations of the same kind of statements from my coaching clients and friends:
“I know what matters to me, but I keep getting pulled away from it.”
“I spend so much energy managing expectations, I barely have time to think.”
“I’m doing well on paper, but I don’t feel proud of how I’m leading.”
“I’m not sure who I’m becoming at work.”
“I don’t really have anyone else neutral talk to about this.”
Different people. Different organisations. But their experiences are very similar.
It’s no surprise to me that when I tell someone that others are feeling the same, they almost instantly relax a little — like it’s the first deep breath they’ve taken in months. This is the power of normalisation - realising that what they are experiencing is normal. They aren’t the only one.
And so I thought that this is what these circles should be about. Breathing space. Perspective. Belonging.
A place to reconnect with who you are as a leader (we are all leaders in some way) — and remember that you’re not alone in wanting to do good work without losing yourself in the process.

So, I’m gathering the very first Calm REBEL Circle.
A pilot group of eight thoughtful leaders who want to explore this together.
We’ll meet for seven conversations — two hours each, every couple of weeks.
We’ll begin with a “getting to know each other” session, then move through each element of the Calm REBEL Arc — Remember, Examine, Breathe, Experiment and Liberate — before finishing with a reflective session called Integration (I won’t lie, I’m not sure of the name for this session but we’ll work on it!)
By the end, you’ll have:
Clearer language for what’s been impacting your leadership — and what to do about it.
Practical ways to protect your energy and integrity.
Tools and techniques to reclaim your authentic leadership and agency.
Honest feedback and encouragement from people who get it.
A circle of peers who might just continue long after the formal sessions end.
This pilot group will set the tone for all future Calm REBEL Circles, so I’ve priced it generously — £500 + VAT in total (around £35 an hour).
Comparable leadership circles and group coaching programmes usually run well over a thousand pounds, but I want this first one to be accessible to the early REBELs who help shape it.
You don’t need to have read the book. You just need to be curious, brave and open (which as one of the nearly 2,500 wonderful members of this newsletter group you obviously already are!)
If you’d like to be one of the eight people in this first group — the one that shapes how future circles unfold — click below to register your interest and share what days and times suit you. I’ll set the schedule once I see the pattern.
